Boxing training asks the body to do exactly the things Parkinson's takes away — big movements, quick direction changes, balance under load, and coordination between both sides of the body. That is why gyms around the world now run non-contact boxing for people with PD, and why we run ours five mornings a week.
You do not need boxing experience. You do not need to be fit. Classes are led by certified instructors who adapt every drill to the person doing it — seated options included — and the room is full of people at different stages who understand what the week has been like.
Your first class is free and there is nothing to book — turn up about ten minutes early so a coach can say hello and walk you through the room. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes; we will lend you wraps and gloves.

Footwork drills, weight transfer and direction changes — the ingredients of staying on your feet.
Calling combinations while moving trains the brain and body to cope with doing two things at once.
Hitting a bag hard is good for morale in a way that no exercise sheet has ever managed.
The people beside you get it. That turns out to matter as much as the training.
Nothing is forced. Coaches watch fatigue and adjust before you have to ask.
Our classes are an exercise program, not medical treatment. Please talk to your neurologist or physician before starting any new exercise routine.
